Taishan University boosts connections with Jamaica

Arthur Williams, Jamaican Ambassador to China, recently visited Taishan University and signed a memorandum of cooperation in the fields of education and cultural exchanges with the university.

Ambassador Williams said that the Jamaican Embassy in China is committed to actively promoting comprehensive connections between Taishan University and Jamaican universities. He envisioned fruitful collaborations in areas such as faculty and student exchanges, scientific research, and cultural exchange.

In response, Peng Shuzhen, president of Taishan University, emphasized the university's strong focus on international exchange and keen interest in collaborating with Jamaican universities in various fields, including joint talent cultivation, the establishment of scientific research platforms, and cultural exchange.

The two parties also reached collaborative agreements in areas such as Sino-Jamaican cultural exchange, the establishment of an inter-university exchange and cooperation platform between Taishan University and the University of Technology Jamaica, folk cultural exchange, and the promotion of cooperation between humanities think tanks on both sides.
