Shandong is showing remarkable progress in developing its rural township economy, with innovative initiatives and strong industrial development experiences emerging across various towns.

A 5G Digital Ranch in Yangxin county, Binzhou, exemplifies the integration of advanced technologies into traditional agriculture, enabling the digitalized and intelligent management of enhanced productivity.

Maqiao town, Huantai county, Zibo, has adopted an "Industrial Strong Township" Strategy, focusing on four key industrial chains to drive economic growth.

Liutuan town, Changyi, Weifang, has successfully transformed saline-alkali land, achieving record wheat yields and boosting agricultural output.

Ancailou town, Caoxian county, Heze, has harnessed e-commerce and the Hanfu industry to achieve remarkable success, with annual online sales exceeding 9.5 billion yuan ($1.3 billion) and Hanfu sales accounting for nearly one-fifth of the national market.

These initiatives highlight the vibrancy and potential of Shandong's township economy.

The rural township economy plays a pivotal role in bridging urban-rural development and serves as a cornerstone of regional economic growth. Its advancement fosters rural industrial transformation, optimizes resource allocation, and provides a solid foundation for rural vitalization.

With 85 towns making the Top 1,000 Townships list and eight ranking among the top 100, Shandong's township economy has gained national recognition. These top-performing townships are at the forefront of driving integrated urban-rural development and contributing to common prosperity.
