SDUT advances cooperation with SKKU in South Korea

Recently, a delegation led by Kim Yong-june, head of the Graduate School of China, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in South Korea, visited Shandong University of Technology (SDUT) in Zibo, Shandong.

During the meeting, both parties introduced their respective universities and reflected on the history of exchanges between the two universities.

Representatives from both sides expressed their desire to expand student exchange programs in all areas with the foreign university based on the existing short-term and long-term undergraduate exchange programs, promoting deeper and more substantial student exchanges between the two universities and facilitating communication and collaboration among faculty and researchers in relevant disciplines.

Established in 1398, SKKU is a research-oriented comprehensive private university in South Korea. It ranks 97th in the 2022 QS World University Rankings and 122nd in the 2022 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. It has consistently ranked as the top private university and the second-best overall university in South Korea by the Chosun Ilbo University Evaluation Rankings.

The MBA program offered in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was rated as the best in South Korea by the Financial Times in 2019 and holds accreditation from the AACSB for its business school. The university is backed by South Korea's largest conglomerate, Samsung Group, and has substantial research funding.
