Sinotruk boosts ice-cold ambition

Print PrintJinan-based China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, also known as Sinotruk, remains aligned with the evolving needs of the nation, striding towards global excellence, propelled forward by technological innovation.
The company is supporting the ninth Asian Winter Games, taking place from Feb 7 to 14 in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, by supplying a range of specialized vehicles and equipment to ensure smooth operations and coverage throughout the event.
Sinotruk is also providing its Yellow River ski-waxing truck, which served as Team China's ski-waxing truck during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and gives waxing and storage solutions. It is China's first independently developed ski-waxing truck.
In recent years, Sinotruk has strengthened its independent and forward-looking research and development capabilities, establishing a research and development system that is market-oriented to drive product innovation.
In 2024, the company invested 3.1 billion yuan ($425 million) in key core technologies and in the research and development of new products, representing an 8 percent year-on-year increase. Leveraging the research and development platform advantages of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Sinotruk has successfully overcome numerous technical challenges related to commercial vehicles, achieving a series of independent and collaborative innovation outcomes.
