Shandong recently held a Spring Festival temple fair in Seoul, South Korea, featuring themed areas for cultural experiences, food tasting, and corporate exhibitions and sharing traditional Chinese New Year customs with the South Korean people.
Approximately 8,000 participants, including Chinese citizens, overseas Chinese in South Korea, and Korean locals, attended the fair. The event served as a vibrant platform for cultural dialogue, strengthening the bond between Shandong and South Korea.
The fair was not only a cultural feast but also a cross-border exchange. Celebrating Spring Festival together, China and South Korea share similar aspirations for a better future, despite celebrating in different ways, according to Ambassador Dai Bing.
During the opening ceremony, the Provincial Association for Foreign Affairs donated a series of books about Confucius, a Chinese philosopher, to a local primary school, aiding in the overseas spread of Chinese traditional culture.
The Spring Festival temple fair, kicked off on Feb 8, was jointly organized by the Shandong Chamber of Commerce in Korea and the provincial association for foreign affairs.
