Shao Lili, a deputy to the National People's Congress, serves as the director of the technical training center at the Information Technology Institute of China Railway Jinan Group Co.

Shao, who is mainly engaged in constructing railway information projects and developing information system, has been trying to harness technological innovation to build an intelligent railway network.

In recent years, she has worked closely with her colleagues to set up a number of technique research groups focusing on artificial intelligence, digital twin technology, the internet of things, and big data.

The systems, which are developed under her guidance, have helped railway departments optimize passenger services on popular routes and improve freight train scheduling, driving the intelligent and digital transformation of railway operations.

At the upcoming two sessions, China's biggest annual political event, which will be held this March, Shao will propose measures to promote green transportation and enhance railway safety.
