On May 29, Guangyuan's 2021 Investment Promotion Conference and Cooperation Project Signing Ceremony was held in Chengdu.

A high-end aluminum project with an annual output of 100,000 tons was given the green light at the event. 

Luo Lingyun, Party secretary of the Guangyuan Natural Gas Utilization Industrial Park, addressed the ceremony. 

Luo, on behalf of the Natural Gas Utilization Industrial Park Administrative Committee and the Guangyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone Administrative Committee, signed the contract with Hubei Shimei Technology Co Ltd. 

The project is located in Shipan Industrial Park, Guangyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone, and will see a total investment of 1.077 billion yuan ($16.87 million). 

Plans are in place for the construction of a casting production line with an annual output of 100,000 tons of aluminum profiles and aluminum products in Guangyuan. After it is put into production, it is expected to realize an annual sales revenue of more than 2 billion yuan, an annual tax revenue of 20 million yuan, and provide employment for about 500 people. 

Before the meeting, Luo had in-depth discussions with SCEI Distributed Energy Systems Co and the Lanzhou-Chengdu-Chongqing Products Transportation Branch of the National Petroleum and Natural Gas Pipeline Network Group respectively on issues relating to the natural gas clean energy power generating project listed in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) and the signing of the Zhongwei-Guiyang and Yuanba-Puguang natural gas pipeline connectivity project.
