Huangze Temple was one of the first key cultural relics sites to be placed under state protection, as is today a national AAAA tourist attraction. Built over 1500 years ago, it is the only temple in China that commemorates Wu Zetian, the only woman emperor in China's history. The temple keeps the only "portrait" stone-carved statue of her in China.
