Guangyuan's aggregate investment hits new high in Q1
The city of Guangyuan in Southwest China's Sichuan province has invested 16.84 billion yuan ($2.51 billion) in its key projects in the first quarter of this year.
The construction site of the Zhaohua section of Western China (Guangyuan) Green Furniture Industrial City has been bustling with activity. With an investment of 470 million yuan, the project covers an area of 8.87 hectares and consists of six exchange centers and two buildings for logistics & warehousing. It is scheduled to be completed in June.
The expanded construction of the Guangyuan-Mianyang Section of the G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway is a key provincial-level project. It is designed as a dual 3-lane carriageway with 12 interconnected overpasses that will permit speeds of 120 kilometers per hour. Its prospective investment is 29.1 billion yuan. Guangyuan has attached great importance to the building of industrial clusters, which covers aluminium materials, green furniture, food & beverage, bio-medicine, mechanical and electronic engineering, green energy and the digital economy. It is planning to initiate over 1,300 related projects worth about 750 billion yuan.
The city has adopted an all-around mechanism to boost investment attraction and project construction and help key projects better resolve difficulties during their construction and operation.
Thanks to these combined efforts, the city's aggregate investment between January and March surged by 76.1 percent on a yearly basis.
