Guangyuan in Southwest China's Sichuan province witnessed deals worth 87.4 billion yuan ($12.56 billion) signed for 37 major industrial projects on Dec 7, at a State-owned enterprise investment promotion convention.

Vice Governor Tian Qingying extended his congratulations on the successful opening of the meeting. He urged Guangyuan to strengthen confidence in development, accelerate the building of a green aluminum base, cultural tourism destination and health resort, and to drive characteristic industries in poverty-stricken areas to achieve revitalization and leapfrog development.

He Shuping, Party chief of Guangyuan, expressed appreciation to all the guests for their active participation and contribution to the city's development. According to him, Guangyuan is a city full of dreams, opportunities and possibilities thanks to its location, resources, business environment and ecological environment. He expressed his hope that more enterprises will chose Guangyuan for investment, and work together to achieve win-win results.

He vowed that efforts will be made to further optimize the business environment, establish an efficient coordination mechanism, and provide services for the whole process - covering the entire life cycle from enterprise intention inspection to project construction and production.

On behalf of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission at the provincial level, official Feng Wensheng pointed out that state-owned enterprises have always attached great importance to cooperation with Guangyuan. The two parties have cooperated in multiple fields and have promoted the construction of a series of projects.

At the meeting, Zhang Yigang, head of the Sichuan Development (Holdings) Co, and Huang Hanyi, deputy general manager of the Datang Sichuan Power Generation Co, gave speeches as enterprise representatives.
