Guangyuan is in the crucial period of rapid development. In 2020, the city's total economic output exceeded 100 billion yuan ($13.93 billion). In 2022, it established 17 special teams for key industries such as aluminum-based new materials, green home furnishing, food and beverage, biomedicine, clean energy, and building materials as well as one production factor guarantee team, to provide full life cycle and full industry chain services.

Key projects with an investment of tens of billions of yuan have been carried out, including a gas turbine power generation project invested by Sichuan Energy Investment. More companies are coming to start their businesses here.

The capital market of the city is facing unprecedented opportunities for development.

To date, Guangyuan has one company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, seven listed on the "New Third Board" market, and 31 listed on the Tianfu (Sichuan) United Equity Exchange Center.

In addition, Guangyuan included 25 potential enterprises into its enterprise listing reserve resource pool, providing guidance, needed services and promoting corporate shareholding reform, in a bid to support their growth.

At the meeting, the Guangyuan Municipal People's Government and the Sichuan Securities Regulatory Bureau signed a strategic cooperation agreement on improving the ability of the capital market to serve the real economy and promote the high-quality development of Yuan's economy and society.
