This marks the two-way operation of the China-Laos cross-border railway trains, which facilitates two-way trade between Guangyuan city and northern Laos's Luang Prabang province.

The tapioca carried by 25 carriages can be widely used to make alcohol, bread, biscuits and other foods, as well as chemical products like plastic fibers, resins, and adhesives. The consignment will reduce the cost of raw materials for Guangyuan's enterprises.

At present, Guangyuan has operated 20 international trains, transporting more than 8,700 tons of goods worth more than 91 million yuan ($12.72 million).

In the years ahead, the city plans to further expand major international logistics channels connecting Europe, Laos and Central Asia and enable more than 100 trips every year for the easy flow of high-quality Guangyuan-made products into international markets.
