Sichuan city of Guangyuan has given out 2,000 complimentary tickets to invite people to the local 2024 lantern show featuring the hometown of Empress Wuzetian of the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

City tourism officials recently visited several cities in Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi provinces to attract visitors to celebrate Chinese New Year in Guangyuan, where they can experience a visual feast that combines ancient charm and technological colors.

In addition to the brilliant lantern spectacle, tourists can appreciate festive scenes at Jianmen Pass, Huangze Temple and many other enchanting scenic areas.
