On March 27, author Hope Justman from Philadelphia, USA, attended the ceremony to authorize the print copyrights of the Chinese version of her book Guide to Hiking China's Old Road to Shu in Jiange county, Guangyuan, Southwest China's Sichuan province.

The writer Hope has a deep connection with Shudao, the ancient passageway to Sichuan. She had the title bestowed upon her as a lifetime tourism promotion ambassador.

In 2001, Hope was attracted by a picture of Shudao published in the People's Daily (Overseas Edition). In the following decades, she visited this ancient road 24 times, experiencing its unique charm.

Through the book, Hope promoted Shudao culture to the world with a personal perspective, raising its visibility on a global scale, and building a bridge to enhance mutual understanding.
