During the 2024 Western China Food and Beverage Industry Development Conference on April 8, Guangyuan city in Sichuan province received accolades as a "Famous Food Industry City in China" and the "Hometown of Natural Drinking Water with Chinese Characteristics".

Guo Yongxin, secretary-general of the China Light Industry Federation, announced these notable recognitions.

In recent years, Guangyuan has been dedicated to leveraging its abundant resources to cultivate its industrial prowess, leading to the development of a robust industrial ecosystem centered around the food and beverage sector.

Presently, the city boasts eight dedicated food and beverage parks spanning a collective area of 18 square kilometers. These parks serve as the nucleus for a comprehensive "3 plus 1" industrial framework that specializes in agricultural delicacies, beverages and natural drinking water, meat products and pre-made food.

Also, Guangyuan has fostered a diverse range of industrial chains encompassing tea, grains, and oils.

This effort has seen the emergence of nearly 150 esteemed enterprises, including prominent brands like Wahaha and COFCO, while garnering certifications for 529 products for their adherence to green, organic, and geographical indication standards.
