Eighty-two logistics industry projects worth almost 38.4 billion yuan ($5.4 billion) were signed on Friday at the 2024 China (Guangyuan) Logistics Industry Development Conference in Guangyuan, Sichuan province.
The conference is hosted by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and the Guangyuan municipal government. It carries the theme of accelerating the cultivation of the logistics hub economy and effectively reducing the logistics cost of the whole society.
The conference has drawn 1,367 participants from all across China.
They include government officials and representatives of 185 firms in the logistics industry, according to Xu Guobin, deputy secretary of the Guangyuan municipal committee of the Communist Party of China.
Guangyuan, known as the gateway of northern Sichuan, is located in the geometric center between Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province, the Chongqing municipality and Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu province.
