In recent years, Guangyuan has taken a leading role in protecting its natural and cultural heritage. The city has over 16,000 registered ancient and famous trees and has adopted various measures to preserve them.

The local government has set up a thorough protection system that includes "one tree, one file" record-keeping, daily inspections by dedicated personnel, and tailored rescue plans.

In Jianmen Pass town, a demonstration site for ancient cypress conservation has been established, utilizing modern monitoring and irrigation systems to improve the habitat of the ancient trees. This effort not only safeguards the trees but also enhances the local landscape.

Guangyuan also excels in preserving cultural heritage, actively promoting research and publications related to Shu Road (Jianmen Shudao). Signing the strategic cooperation agreement for the English edition of The History of China's Shu Roads marks an important step in sharing this ancient culture with the world.

Moreover, cultural events like the immersive dramas in Cuiyunlang Scenic Area and the Guangyuan Female Festival have become more popular. These activities draw tourists and also serve to preserve and promote local cultures.

Looking forward, Guangyuan plans to deepen its integration of cultural and ecological resources to position itself as an international tourism hub that highlights the allure of ancient Chinese culture.
