After you've had enough of Tangjiahe Difting, you can head straight to Qingxi ancient town, which is just a few minutes' walk away. Qingxi copper hotpot is unlike any hotpot you've probably experienced.
To prepare this unique type of hotpot, vegetarian dishes are first placed at the bottom of the pot, followed by layers of beef offal, crispy beef, and sliced beef. Then, broth simmered from beef leg bones is poured inside. The soup is rich and delicious, with a fragrant aroma - paradise for beef and mutton lovers.
At the farm stays and guesthouses in the ancient town, you can savor authentic northern Sichuan flavors. Don't miss the sweet, glutinous and juicy longan-shaped pork, mouthwateringly fragrant cured pork ribs stewed with dried radishes, eight-layered "pinwan" (a local specialty), seasonal wild vegetables, and fresh plums just picked by the landlady - if you miss them, you'll have to wait a whole year!
