The 2025 Guangyuan Daughters' Festival (better known as nyuerjie) is fast approaching, with excitement building around its highly anticipated nighttime event.

Set to take place on Sept 1 at the Liangjiangkou main venue, this year's celebration will introduce a groundbreaking format that combines multiple elements for a memorable experience.

Organizers revealed that the event will depart from previous years' segmented performances, debuting a seamless fusion of drones, fireworks, lighting, and music. Scheduled to start at 8 pm, the 40-minute spectacle aims to captivate audiences with its innovative blend of technology and artistry.

Key highlights include 2,000 drones – 1,000 of which will release electronic fireworks – working in harmony with nearly 40,000 ground-launched fireworks to light up the sky.

The visual display will be complemented by 350 beam lights, 10 laser projectors, and specially arranged music tailored to each segment of the show.

"A record number of drones and fireworks, paired with the first integrated performance, will make this year's event more spectacular than ever," said an event representative.

The drone sequence will feature depictions of Guangyuan's iconic scenic spots, further heightening anticipation and bringing a local flair to the festival.
