Admiring the full moon and enjoying mooncakes has been a cherished romantic tradition among Chinese people for thousands of years.

With the Mid-Autumn Festival nearing, did you know about a place called "Mooncake Town" in Guangyuan? Each year, mooncakes made there are sold nationwide. Today, let's explore Zhongzi Industrial Park in Zhongzi town.

Zhongzi mooncakes carry more than 300 years of intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship, renowned for their "crisp crust and fragrant filling". A gentle bite causes the crispy crust to crumble easily.

They use local walnuts from Chaotian district, known as one of the "Seven Wonders of Guangyuan", which are roasted at a low temperature to enhance their aroma. The crispy crust complements the walnuts, creating a unique taste.

"I love the original walnut flavor. Large walnuts are embedded directly into the mooncakes, giving a strong walnut aroma. They are low in fat and sugar, making them very healthy," said Wang Hongning, a customer from Xi'an, Shaanxi province, who praised Zhongzi mooncakes.

In addition to traditional flavors such as original walnut, walnut with Sichuan pepper, and walnut-peanut, the selection now features popular "internet-famous" options: yogurt raisin, whole red bean, red wine cranberry, and cheese coconut. If you haven't sampled these, they're highly recommended.

Pair one with a cup of tea, and you'll taste the authentic essence of Mid-Autumn.
