The 2025 Ultra-Trail Shudao by Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) is set to take place from Nov 8 to 9 in Jiange county and Zhaohua district in northern Sichuan, bringing together 4,200 trail runners to compete along the historic Shudao route.

The event features three individual race categories: the 99.7 kilometers, the 41.7 km, and the 21.5 km. Each category will include separate men's and women's divisions.

This epic trail starts at Jiange Stadium and ascends to the summit of Daping Mountain, which stands 1,073 meters above sea level. The route traverses geological wonders including the twin peaks of Jianmen Pass, the ancient cypress forest of Cuiyun Corridor, and the cloud-wrapped terraced fields of Chaotianping.

Participants include runners from 23 countries and regions worldwide, as well as athletes from 33 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across China. Among the 4,200 participants, the oldest is 65 years old, while the youngest is 18.
