At the 20th National Qunxing Award ceremony held recently in Chongqing, Family Tree, a situational performance song for male singers created by the city of Guangyuan, was honored with an award in the music category.

This win marks Guangyuan's second Qunxing Award, following its award for Happiness Blossoms Like Flowers in 2013.

Themed "a revolutionary heritage, passed on from generation to generation" and built around the concept that "since ancient times, family trees have honored the loyal and courageous," the piece skillfully blends elements of pop music and Northern Sichuan folk songs.

Family Tree's award-winning journey began with it securing the Sichuan Qunxing Award in 2023. It then emerged as the top entry from among 12 finalists in the Sichuan provincial selection for the national award in November 2024.

Finally, in August 2025, it advanced to the national finals, where it was ultimately awarded.

The Qunxing Award is a national governmental award in China for public arts, representing the highest recognition in this field. This recent achievement demonstrates the continued development of public arts and cultural creation in Guangyuan city.
