On April 13, a group of international influencers visited the QinChuangYuan Platform in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province to explore the changes that digital achievements have brought to daily life ahead of the World Internet Conference (WIC) Digital Silk Road Development Forum, which will be held in the city on April 16.

At the display area in the service center of QinChuangYuan Platform, international visitors experienced playing chess with a robot called SenseRobot.

Developed independently by the SenseTime Group Inc., it is the world's first household artificial intelligence (AI) chess-playing robot product integrating cutting-edge AI and high-precision mechanical arm technologies.

It adeptly handles chess pieces, competes with humans, analyzes each move's outcomes and has received certification and authorization from the Chinese Xiangqi Association.

During their visit, the influencers were also introduced to a ground-penetrating radar capable of detecting underground voids and defects such as cavities up to 10 meters below urban roads.

This radar system can collect data around the clock, covering over 10 kilometers of road in a single day. It utilizes specialized equipment to analyze the data, identify anomalies and pinpoint their locations, followed by precise retesting and detailed investigation.

It plays a critical role in identifying potential road dangers and preventing collapse accidents, thus safeguarding the safety of citizens' travel.

Younus Ghazali, an internet influencer from Pakistan, expressed admiration for the technological innovation achievements showcased at the QinChuangYuan Platform, noting that this platform brings other companies and countries together to go along this Digital Silk Road.

“I am going to attend the forum on April 16. I want to hear the perspectives for the future of the companies and what they're going to innovate for us”, he said.

Hosted by the WIC and organized by the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, the WIC Digital Silk Road Development Forum will center on digital infrastructure and capacity building, digital cultural exchanges, cooperation in cross-border e-commerce, digital technology empowering agricultural production, and improving rural governance.

Having the theme of "Connectivity and Shared Prosperity", it will bring together high-level representatives from international organizations, governments, major enterprises and industry associations, as well as experts and scholars for discussions.
