Nantong Vocational University hosts traditional farming event for students

Nantong Vocational University, in collaboration with other institutions, hosted a farming cultural exchange event on June 5 in Nantong, Jiangsu province, with over 30 Chinese and international students participating.

These participants visited the exhibition hall of Jiangsu Agricultural Group Nantong Co, where they were immersed in local farm's history and farming culture. They also observed mechanical rice transplanting, during which technicians explained seedling cultivation, technological advantages, and the entire rice growth cycle.

After learning about local watermelon varieties and observing a demonstration on picking techniques, the students had the opportunity to pick watermelons themselves. They also engaged in a creative painting activity, capturing scenes of paddies, watermelon patches, and rural landscapes on paper.
