Nantong Vocational University welcomes freshmen with grand ceremony

Nantong Vocational University (NTVU) held its opening ceremony for the 2026 freshmen at the Zhongxiu Campus on Sept 16, welcoming students from across the country to embark on a new journey.

The ceremony began with vibrant performances that showcased the students' enthusiasm and passion. As the national anthem played, the flag-raising ceremony was held, highlighting the students' patriotic spirit.

Faculty representative Shen Hua from the School of Intelligent Manufacturing delivered a speech, encouraging students to cherish their university years, develop skills and be courageous in embracing challenges. Student representatives Shi Junxiang and Jiang Xihao, both from the School of Artificial Intelligence and Electronic Information shared their aspirations and experiences, urging peers to engage in practical training and competitions.

Parents' representative Li Li, on behalf of all parents of the freshmen, expressed gratitude to the university for its dedication to nurturing students.

Fang Jihong, president of NTVU, delivered a speech to the students, encouraging them to integrate personal goals with national development.

The ceremony concluded with a joint singing of the university song, uniting all the students in a shared mission. As the freshmen of 2026 embark on this new journey, they are encouraged to pursue excellence and contribute to society with their skills and dedication.
