Nantong Vocational University stood out at the finals of the 2026 World Vocational College Skills Competition in September, securing two gold medals and two silver medals.

During the News Communication (Higher Vocational College Group) event, which concluded in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on Sept 24, three contestants from the School of Digital Creativity — Zhang Dezhi, Wu Shuang, and Yuan Mingru — demonstrated outstanding performances among 125 teams from vocational colleges across the country, clinching the gold medal. It was the first time that NTVU participated in the competition of this event.

The competition focused on omni-media operations, digital content production, and short video creation, emphasizing the application of digital technology and innovative practices. It highlighted the assessment of contestants' comprehensive vocational skills.

This victory underscores NTVU's commitment to integrating industry and education and effectively implementing a teaching model that merges competition and education.

From Sept 25 to 30, the finals of the Business and Trade event took place at Shanxi Finance and Taxation College, featuring 218 teams and nearly 870 competitors nationwide.

The NTVU delegation from the School of Digital Commerce and Trade, comprising three students — Gu Yani, Yang Yi and Chen Qian — and led by Qiang Yi, the university's Party secretary, won the gold medal. This success demonstrates NTVU's dedication to embedding digital commerce scenarios into the educational process, showcasing the effectiveness of its teaching reforms.

Additionally, NTVU's contestants from the School of Automotive and Traffic Design earned a silver medal in the competition for Rail Transportation, while those from the School of Intelligent Construction also secured a silver medal in the competition for Civil Engineering Design and Management.
