Preparations for the event are well underway, according to the press conference.
Hosted by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, this year's fair will gather nearly 1,000 companies from approximately 20 countries and regions, aiming to promote new quality productive forces and sustainable development by focusing on open cooperation and trade in the technology sector.
Covering a total exhibition area of 35,000 square meters, it will feature one main exhibition hall, a provincial and municipal exhibition area, as well as four specialized technology exhibition areas showcasing the key technological advances and breakthroughs in diverse sectors, such as commercial encryption and digital manufacturing, green energy and storage, intelligent marine engineering and equipment, and consumption and commercial technologies.
This year's fair will double down on comprehensive international cooperation. As the guest city of honor from overseas, Glasgow will bring 18 local exhibitors engaged in shipbuilding, marine technology, smart building sensors, and smart wearables. The United Nations Industrial Development Organization will showcase advances in areas such as carbon neutrality, sustainable materials and green production, while companies from Spain, France and the United States will demonstrate various projects on green energy, shipping services, new materials and more.
The exhibition will include an opening ceremony, three themed days, and nearly 60 supporting activities.
