Carbon neutrality expo opens in Shanghai

The 2025 Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo in Technologies, Products and Achievements opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre on June 5, aiming to assist Chinese enterprises in deepening integration with global rule on green economy, thereby facilitating their expansion into the global market.

Carbon neutrality has become a crucial part of company efforts to go global, prompting businesses to accelerate their green transformation. As the first domestic expo with a focus on carbon neutrality, it has been held in Shanghai for three consecutive years.

During this year's expo, Shanghai's first-ever platform centered around green power and green electricity certification — the Green Electricity and Certificate Service Center — will be launched. The center, in collaboration with multiple electricity marketing companies in the city, will provide services such as purchasing green electricity and green electricity certificates, helping enterprises meet their green energy needs.

Moreover, to enhance exchanges on green electricity, carbon technologies, and services among enterprises from different regions, the expo has introduced trade matchmaking events for green finance, green supply chain, green electricity certificates and green electricity, and green expansion overseas. These activities aim to assist companies in conducting matchmaking in green energy transactions more efficiently and precisely.
