"Our Water: Flowing from Shanghai – Intercultural Dialogues Among World Cities" utilizes rivers as a medium to strengthen connections between Shanghai and other major cities worldwide.
The coin exhibition, which ran until June 14, marked the beginning of a new chapter of collaboration between Shanghai and London, focusing on waterfront development, cultural exchange, and sustainable urban growth. A multitude of elements from Shanghai's Putuo district took center stage, becoming crucial catalysts for interaction between the two cities.
With "COINect" as its central theme, this exhibition marked the first time that Chinese coinage and minting culture had been showcased overseas in a special exhibition. The 50 sets of 105 exhibits on display were sourced from the Shanghai Mint, located along the banks of Suzhou Creek in Putuo district, with a history spanning 105 years since its establishment.
Alongside the coinage, the meticulously crafted "Half-Marathon Suzhou Creek" series of cultural and creative products also made a striking appearance. Innovative creations, such as Year of the Snake canvas bags that blend the Suzhou Creek waterfront with trendy aesthetics, as well as tennis accessories and colorful magnetic mirrors, drew the attention of visitors.
