2025 Shanghai Tourism Investment Promotion Conference held in Jinshan
The 2025 Shanghai Tourism Investment Promotion Conference convened at Legoland Shanghai Resort in Jinshan district on June 18, outlining a strategic vision to position the city as a premier tourism gateway in Asia-Pacific.
The event spotlighted Jinshan's unique assets: a 7.2-kilometer coastal urban waterfront and expanded rail networks. Legoland Shanghai Resort and Jinshan Coastal International Cultural Tourism Resort were named flagship projects, with investments slated for low-altitude tourism and water sports infrastructure.
Six agreements were signed, including Hilton Hotels' North Shanghai resort and a cultural-fusion district near the Bund. Legoland's parent company Merlin Entertainments and Bank of China were appointed Global Tourism Partners, while Jinshan's 4+8 industrial catalog (spanning creative design and performing arts) aims to attract 1,200+ enterprises through tax incentives.
With its coastal charm and strategic cross-regional links, Jinshan is poised to redefine Shanghai's tourism landscape, blending cultural heritage with futuristic leisure experiences.
