This immersive retro celebration marked the area's upgrade into a pioneering hub merging film, tourism, commerce, and tech. Leveraging the cultural legacy of the hit TV series Blossoms Shanghai, the revamped zone pioneers a "film-shooting-experience-sharing" ecosystem, positioning Songjiang district as a model for integrated cultural tourism.
Lu Xuling, Party secretary and general manager of Shanghai Film Park, revealed that the reimagined Huanghe Road now offers a "four wonders" experience:
- A culinary journey blending traditional Chinese flavors with 1990s street food, allowing guests to "taste through time".
- 1:1 replicas of iconic Shanghai neon signs, crafted using vintage techniques, create Instagram-worthy backdrops.
- From costume makeovers to pool halls and live music nights, visitors craft their own nostalgic narratives.
- Upcoming attractions include AR-enhanced spaces where virtual and physical worlds collide, and interactive short dramas.

The area is evolving from a film set into a dynamic "film-tourism-commerce" ecosystem, supporting productions with period-accurate settings while offering consumers themed dining, live-streaming hubs, and pop-up events. Nightly performances from June 28 will showcase cultural spectacles, from ethnic dances to electro-pop water fights. An automotive culture festival in August will feature RC car racing and drone shows.
"By fusing cinematic quality with real-world engagement, Huanghe Road is redefining urban nightlife and IP-driven commerce," Lu emphasized. This innovation positions Songjiang as a global benchmark for immersive cultural experiences.
