North Bund forum fuels global expansion for Chinese firms with cross-border legal innovation

The 2nd Forum of the North Bund Shanghai-Shenzhen-Hong Kong International Legal Services Summit was held at the Sinar Mas Plaza in Hongkou district on June 18, gathering over 120 experts to redefine overseas expansion strategies for Chinese enterprises.

The forum highlighted Hongkou's pioneering model merging business and legal districts into the North Bund International Legal Services Port. Building on last year's cooperation pact with Shenzhen's Futian district, the newly launched The North Bund Cross-Border Legal Service Center centralizes expertise in international arbitration, cross-border M&A, and compliance, offering tailored solutions for enterprises navigating global markets.

Leveraging Hong Kong's legal advantages, the district introduced 10 specialized consultants covering cross-border investment, intellectual property, and financial regulations. Their insights directly support firms in mitigating risks during international expansion.

Forty institutions spanning law, finance, and logistics formed the North Bund Enterprise Globalization Alliance, while China Commercial Law Firm's digital platform enables real-time collaboration across 15 countries.

By aligning policy innovation with practical solutions, Hongkou positions the North Bund as Asia's emerging hub for cross-border legal services, empowering Chinese enterprises to compete globally with confidence.
