Fengxian district leaders, alongside Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism Deputy Director Xiang Yihai, inaugurated the event. Xiang emphasized Shanghai's role in promoting global Chinese cultural research, praising Fengxian Museum's track record of innovative exhibitions.
This showcase, he noted, blends tradition with modernity through interactive displays and immersive settings, reviving Chang'an's 1,000-year-old grandeur for contemporary audiences.
Tang Xiaoteng, deputy Party secretary of Fengxian district, highlighted Fengxian's cultural revitalization efforts, citing landmarks like Yanzi Academy. The exhibition, he added, aligns with initiatives to make cultural heritage accessible, fostering pride through Fengxian-produced cultural IPs.
By merging historical artifacts with digital storytelling, the exhibition transforms Tang aesthetics into a multisensory experience. Visitors can admire replicas of imperial garments, explore interactive etiquette guides, and witness live demonstrations of ancient cosmetics crafting.
