Songjiang shines at global film market, attracting international industry focus
As the core hub of Shanghai's burgeoning film industry, Songjiang district showcased its dynamic ecosystem to international filmmakers and investors at the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival and 30th Shanghai TV Festival's Global Film Market on June 21.
The exhibition zone featured interactive displays of Songjiang's latest film projects, VR-powered immersive zones, and exclusive merchandise from local studios. Visitors praised the district's cutting-edge infrastructure and seamless integration of technology and storytelling.
For the first time, organizers launched a film production ecosystem tour, offering delegates guided visits to Shanghai Film Park, AI Production Center, and high-tech shooting bases.
The event merged previous film and TV markets into a unified platform, attracting over 200 leading companies worldwide. Songjiang's cultural tourism bureau emphasized its "one-stop filming support", including streamlined permits and tax incentives. "We aim to make Songjiang the top choice for global productions," stated Director Zhang Lan.
