A refreshing summer breeze carries the scent of lotuses in peak bloom at Chongming's Lotus Expo Park in Lyuhu village, Lyuhua town, attracting crowds eager to witness its stunning floral display.

This year's lotus growth is exceptionally vibrant, with nearly 100 varieties of lotuses and water lilies blooming simultaneously. Unique species and rare types attract the attention of visitors, as the endless sea of green leaves and dancing blossoms creates a breathtaking, serene landscape.

Visitors are captivated, with one delighted guest saying, "It's gorgeous! We came to play our hulusi (a unique traditional Chinese instrument) here, inspired by the image of lotuses in sunlight."

According to park's manager, water lilies typically bloom from 8:30 am to 5 pm, closing around noon under intense sun. The viewing season extends through late September.
