Shanghai Origion Soar Technology, a burgeoning force in the low-altitude economy, has secured a large number of international orders for its helicopters.
Founded in August 2024 in the NeoBay innovation zone in Minhang district, the company has swiftly transitioned from merely showcasing to selling its products globally.
The turning point came during the "2025 Neoay Infinite π Run" event on May 25 on Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Minhang campus. Origion Soar presented its flagship sport helicopter and industrial-grade drone, captivating nearly 3,000 people, including corporate employees and university affiliates. Interactive demonstrations and viral videos from the event significantly boosted the company's visibility.
Following the event, Origion Soar finalized a deal with an Australian aviation company for 300 helicopters on May 30. This success was quickly followed by an order from an overseas agricultural service company for 120 specialized aircraft. "Our phones have been ringing off the hook," said General Manager You Chun, highlighting the overwhelming interest in the company's products.
The company's rapid international expansion is underpinned by its focus on technological innovation and strong policy support from the NeoBay area. With over 80 percent localization of core components, Origion Soar is working towards full localization. "The supportive business environment in NeoBay gives us confidence," said You.
Looking ahead, Origion Soar aims to upgrade key aircraft components and enhance its systems to boost competitiveness. It is also expanding its commercialization efforts and developing an overseas sales and after-sales network. "This is just the beginning of our journey into the global market," said You.
