Xuhui district, spanning 54.93 square kilometers, is a vibrant intersection where Eastern and Western cultures converge harmoniously. The district boasts a wealth of resources, particularly in international education and healthcare, with over 10 universities including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and more than 150 high-level scientific research institutions like Shanghai Qi Zhi Institute. The district features premier business facilities such as the Xujiahui International CBD, Hengshan Road-Fuxing Road Historical Preservation Area, Xuhui West Bund-International Charming Waterfront, and Caohejing Hi-tech Park. West Bund, with a planned area of 7.31 square kilometers, continues to flourish under the "One Port, One Valley, One City, One Warehouse, and One Bay" layout, with Art & AI as its driving forces.

Xuhui district fosters industry clusters in science and technology, culture, finance, and life sciences, leveraging venues like Media Port and AI Valley. The district promotes the widespread application of AI in transportation, education, healthcare, and other sectors, supported by research institutions such as the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center.

Newly introduced or certified MNC regional headquarters and corporate technical centers are eligible for substantial subsidies and rewards, ensuring a conducive environment for business growth and innovation.
