A group of young South Korean visitors recently explored the vibrant nightlife of Shanghai's Yangpu district, diving into the bustling nighttime market on Daxue Road.
Situated near university campuses, the Daxue Road Pedestrian Street is a hotspot for college students and offers a unique taste of local culture.
Despite language barriers, food and culture bridged the gap between the visitors and locals.
The market impressed the visitors with its culinary diversity. "You can find a huge variety of foods here," said Cha Wanghyun, marveling at the offerings.
Bae Hyun-jin quickly purchased a necklace from a jewelry stall, while Park Sohyun and friends enjoyed being mistaken for Korean idols, sparking friendly exchanges with locals.
As the night progressed, the group savored drinks outside a roadside shop. "This place is amazing; I'd love to visit every day," exclaimed Ryu Hyelin, as Byun Gabin appreciated the variety of beers.
Their adventure included a captivating light show on the wall of Jiangwan Stadium, eagerly captured on their phones.
The night was enriched by a lively conversation with popular local content creator Xiaomage, who shared his favorite culinary spots. Xiaomage even taught them to say "I love Shanghai, I love Yangpu!" in Shanghainese.
