His itinerary involved two separate visits — during the day and again at night — to fully enjoy the landmark. Mr Arnault and his team were seen photographing the exterior from popular angles, much like regular tourists. The group spent about an hour inside on an in-depth exploration. They toured the first-floor exhibition, the boutique on the second floor, and the restaurant on the third, before continuing their market observation at other commercial hubs like the HKRI Taikoo Hui. Mr Arnault praised "The Louis" as a successful blend of Chinese and Western cultures. He noted that the ship symbolizes not only the brand's travel heritage but also deeply resonates with Shanghai's port culture and its inclusiveness.

According to Andrew Wu, President of LVMH Greater China, who accompanied the visit, Mr Arnault's purpose was to personally feel the social impact generated by the ship-shaped building. Mr Arnault also expressed gratitude to the local government for their pivotal role and efficient collaboration, which ensured the project's completion in just three months, and reaffirmed his confidence in Shanghai's consumer market.
