The 25th China International Industry Fair (CIIF 2025) kicked off in style on Oct 23 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, under the theme "New Industrialization & Smart Manufacturing Resilience".
This year's event has drawn nearly 3,000 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions, with international visitors doubling compared to last year.
The opening ceremony featured an impressive sand art performance by two robotic arms developed by JAKA Robotics, a company based in Shanghai's Minhang district.
These robots skillfully created the "CIIF" logo using sand, blending precision technology with creativity. This performance highlighted the strength of "Shanghai Manufacturing" and its role in connecting with the global market.
The JAKA Zu20 collaborative robots, which starred in the performance, are known for their versatility in industrial applications. They can handle loads up to 20 kilograms and have an arm reach of 1.8 meters, all while maintaining a lightweight design of just 60 kilograms. Their precision is remarkable, with an accuracy comparable to the thickness of a human hair.
Since their launch last year, these robots have proven their reliability in tasks like handling automotive parts and inspecting aircraft engines. Their performance at the fair was powered by advanced technologies that allow for synchronized movements and easy programming, making for an impressive showcase at the event.
JAKA Robotics, founded in 2014, focuses on making robots smarter and more capable partners in human work and life. Based in Minhang, the company has been a leader in innovation, receiving prestigious awards for its technological advancements.
At this year's fair, JAKA Robotics is set to unveil the JAKA EVO, a new platform designed to push the boundaries of industrial robotics from simple automation to intelligent decision-making.
JAKA Robotics is expanding its global presence with branches in countries like Japan, Germany, and the United States. Its robots are used by leading companies such as Toyota and Schneider Electric, showcasing Shanghai's cutting-edge manufacturing technology to the world.
