Inspired by the nature of water and paper, the biennale explores purity, flexibility, and vitality through contemporary artistic expression. It highlights how artists reinterpret traditional materials in innovative ways, reflecting both traditional culture and modern aesthetics.
Five themed sections invite visitors to experience large-scale installations, international masterpieces, technology-enhanced paper art, immersive environments, and traditional craftsmanship. Together, they reveal the limitless possibilities of paper as an artistic medium.

According to Zhang Xuesong, director of the Fengxian Museum, this year's event features the highest number of international artists in the biennale's history, with many participating in residency programs and creating works on-site.
Among them, Fides Linien, president of the International Association of Hand Papermakers and Paper Artists (IAPMA), shared her latest creation with visitors — a handmade paper lamp characterized by intricate craftsmanship and a distinctive artistic style.
