Shanghai's Jinshan district has experienced rapid growth over the past five years, with the number of high-tech, specialized, and new enterprises increasing from 166 to 789, a 4.75-fold rise. Industrial output in the first three quarters of 2025 totaled 221.3 billion yuan ($31.04 billion).

Shanghai Shangyuan Water Technology Group Co's zero-carbon smart plant features robotic stainless steel tank lines, reducing energy consumption and enhancing efficiency. The 52.5-mu (3.5-hectare) facility, built with a 350-million-yuan investment, emphasizes digital, green, and smart manufacturing.
