Qingpu showcases development vitality at 8th CIIE
Shanghai's Qingpu district, the permanent host venue for the annual China International Import Expo (CIIE), showcased its development vitality at this year's expo.
During the Shanghai Trade Mission's "First Day" event on Nov 5, Qingpu achieved five key milestones—first order, first license, first certificate, first launch, and first showcase—within just 15 minutes, highlighting its efficiency and dynamism.

A major highlight was the signing of a deal between Shanghai Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engine Maintenance Co Ltd and International Aero Engines (IAE), a CIIE exhibitor, for over $100 million worth of V2500 engine parts. This marked Shanghai Trade Mission's first successful transaction at this year's expo, reinforcing Qingpu's strong presence in international trade.
Shanghai Pratt & Whitney is a key player in aviation engine maintenance, recognized for its advanced capabilities and global certifications. IAE is known for its efficient and reliable V2500 engines, widely used in A320 aircraft.
For eight years in a row, Qingpu has secured the first order at CIIE, demonstrating its robust trade capabilities and serving as a gateway for global products entering China.
High approval efficiency attracts investors
During the event, Qingpu awarded the first business license and food operation permit to Thyssenkrupp Nucera Hydrogen Technology and Tangyi Zhenxuan Food Technology, respectively. These issuances mark the official establishment of these companies in Qingpu, adding new vitality to the district's economy.
Thyssenkrupp Nucera Hydrogen Technology, a new member of the Fortune Global 500 Thyssenkrupp Group, focuses on electrolytic processes and chemical equipment, while Tangyi Zhenxuan, a CIIE purchaser, offers high-quality food products driven by nutritional science and biotechnology.
Qingpu continues to enhance its business environment, attracting enterprises through tailored investment routes and comprehensive services.
