Hongkou district launches investment event at 8th CIIE
Shanghai's Hongkou district launched its investment promotion event at the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) in the North Bund Pavilion on Nov 6.
Acting District Mayor Jiang Rui said that since 2021, the North Bund Pavilion has been a key part of the CIIE, showcasing Hongkou's rapid development. Over the past five years, the district has completed 23 major projects, expanded its economy, and become home to thousands of shipping and financial companies, as well as around 2,000 foreign enterprises and headquarters.
During the event, Jiang awarded plaques to the first group of "Hongkou Global Service Providers", including 12 service institutions. These organizations will help businesses connect with global resources and enhance their development.
The CIIE serves as a global platform through which Hongkou can drive high-quality development. The district plans to expand its network of global service providers and create a supportive business ecosystem.
The North Bund Pavilion will host activities showcasing Hongkou's living environment and development plans. A dedicated team will also begin investment promotion work at the CIIE.
District leaders visited several company booths and thanked them for their contributions to Hongkou's development, while also discussing industry trends and business operations. They invited entrepreneurs to invest in the North Bund and experience the district's dynamic growth and opportunities.
