Exhibitors from Xuhui shine at 8th CIIE

During the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE), more than 30 companies from Shanghai's Xuhui district, ranging from first-time participants to long-time veterans, are showcasing their latest global product debuts at this annual event.

Lesaffre: Transforming the baking industry

Lesaffre, a French company, has frequently participated in the CIIE. This year, it emphasized its transformation from a mere yeast supplier to a creator of a comprehensive baking ecosystem. Its key product, TRADIZY® PANETTONE premix, significantly cuts down preparation time for traditional Panettone bread without compromising quality. Lesaffre also revealed plans to promote baking education and skills development in China.

IKEA: Global debut with Chinese inspiration

IKEA, participating for the eighth time, unveiled its new FÖSSTA collection, inspired by Chinese New Year and featuring horse motifs. This collection, developed with insights from a workshop in Xi'an, will be available worldwide. IKEA's strategy of incorporating local cultural elements into its global products has proven successful, as demonstrated by its popular RULLERUM electric sofa.

EssilorLuxottica: Setting new standards in vision care

Celebrating 30 years in China, EssilorLuxottica revealed its new Stellest smart glasses, which not only enhance vision but also monitor wear time. The company is also working on national standards for myopia prevention in children, emphasizing its leadership in vision care innovation.

Lululemon: Engaging youth through movement

Returning for its second year, Lululemon redesigned its booth into an engaging movement space, highlighting its dedication to connecting with the local community. The brand also revealed a partnership with the Universities 100 Miles Relay, backing a well-known running event for young athletes throughout China.

UNIQLO: A Heartwarming Journey

UNIQLO, a six-time CIIE participant, created the "A Heartwarming Journey" booth to showcase new products like the KAWS-designed knitwear series. This approach emphasizes its shift from simply displaying products to promoting a lifestyle.

Xuhui: A hub for innovation and investment

Xuhui enterprises' broad involvement in the CIIE highlights the district's position as a center for innovation and investment. Many multinational firms establish regional headquarters in Xuhui, a district that actively promotes itself through international partnerships and by attracting foreign investment to integrate into local innovation networks.
