Belarusian dairy giant brings premium ice cream to Shanghai via CIIE

Miaohang town in Baoshan signed an agreement with Kobrin Butter and Cheese Enterprise, a dairy leader from Belarus, at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE).

This partnership, facilitated by the CIIE's expanded platform for international business matching, marks a key outcome of Baoshan's active efforts to attract foreign investment. The collaboration follows an earlier visit by a Baoshan government delegation to Belarus, where initial contact with Kobrin was made.

Prior to the CIIE, Miaohang town reached out to the company after learning of its participation in the Belarus national pavilion, inviting its representatives for a site visit. Impressed by Miaohang's strategic location and favorable business environment during their inspection, Kobrin reaffirmed its commitment at the expo.

The company, an award-winning industry leader founded in 1939 with over 150 dairy products, plans to establish an international trading company in Miaohang. This entity will serve as the general agent for its products in China, with a particular focus on introducing its premium, naturally-made ice cream to Chinese consumers.

The project's establishment underscores the CIIE's role as a vital bridge for international economic cooperation. It represents an achievement for Baoshan in leveraging the expo to attract foreign capital, promising to deliver an authentic taste of Belarus to the local community under the Belt and Road Initiative.
