The Vertaxi booth displayed a newly upgraded M1 manned aircraft and a low-altitude takeoff and landing point at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. Visitors experienced an immersive simulation of urban air mobility (UAM), from booking to boarding an air taxi.
In the simulation, participants could select routes to destinations such as Lujiazui, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, and Suzhou Jinji Lake. The flights are budget-friendly, with city routes beginning at 50 yuan ($7.03) and intercity routes costing between 100 and 300 yuan. A flight from the NECC to Yangcheng Lake is estimated to last only 15 minutes, with a ticket price of 109 yuan.
