EssilorLuxottica debuts two global innovations at 8th CIIE
At the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), EssilorLuxottica unveiled two major products, emphasizing myopia control for children and wearable hearing solutions. These innovations demonstrate the company's strategy to strengthen its global presence.

The global debut introduced the Star Control® 2.0 smart glasses with specialized lenses, aimed at monitoring wear time and aiding myopia prevention. The China debut highlighted Nuance Audio hearing glasses, which combine cutting-edge hearing technology with stylish design for those with mild to moderate hearing loss.

EssilorLuxottica has broadened its scope beyond eyewear. The Nuance Audio product marks the company's inaugural entry into hearing solutions. It has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Marquage CE certification in Europe, and is currently available in multiple countries.

The Star Control® 2.0 smart glasses are an upgrade from the original 2020 model, featuring new micro-lens technology to better slow myopia progression. Millions of children worldwide have benefited from the original product, which is now the first FDA-approved lens for myopia control.

CIIE also celebrated EssilorLuxottica's 30th anniversary in China. The Shanghai Essilor Optical Co in Shanghai's Songjiang district has become a key global lens manufacturing hub. The company plans additional investments to boost local production capacity and meet growing demand in China.
