The company, designated as a multinational regional headquarters in Putuo district where it established its base in 2018, recently obtained its headquarters certification with support from the district.
The company highlighted its sustainable technology by presenting the RISE program demonstration model at the 7th CIIE. In addition, GE Aerospace reaffirmed its commitment by signing $2.2 billion in agreements with five key Chinese clients at the last event.
GE Aerospace marks its 45th anniversary in China this year, providing products and services to the civil aviation industry. In partnership with its joint venture CFM International, it supports over 60 Chinese airlines with more than 7,800 engines in operation.
At this year's CIIE, the company featured two China premieres. The main highlight was a model of the LEAP-1C engine, which powers China's C919 aircraft. The second was an interactive mixed-reality exhibit that let visitors wear MR glasses to observe and interact with a virtual LEAP engine up close.
