Shanghai Hi-Chain showcases new salmon products at CIIE
At the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), Shanghai Hi-Chain, a local enterprise based in Chongming district, introduced two new products — smoked Norwegian ocean trout and lightly salted Chilean silver salmon. This marks the company's fifth consecutive year participating in CIIE, a global trade platform it views as a key accelerator for growth.

Founded in 2016 with just 30 employees at Chongming's Hengsha Fishing Port, Hi-Chain began as a salmon processor. After a decade of development, it now employs over 400 staff members and operates a fully automated salmon processing line.
The company has become a leading food processor in Chongming, supplying major retailers such as Sam's Club and Freshippo, as well as restaurant chains like Wagas and Foodbowl, delivering premium "Made in Chongming" seafood to dining tables across the country.

Hi-Chain's consistent participation in CIIE has greatly increased its order volume. Since debuting in 2021, its projected annual orders have risen from $16 million to $35 million, while actual orders completed went up from $19 million in 2021 to $50.1 million in 2024, consistently exceeding targets.
Through CIIE, Hi-Chain has also expanded its global supply chain by establishing direct sourcing partnerships with leading seafood producers in Norway, Chile, Russia, and the United States.
